steve. >>> the system is getting very close. bodega, so far it is the first system of the season. you can see how it has tried. partly cloudy skies and some fog is expected, showers light rain parallels the coast as the system heads south. if it was moving right over us, it would be a whole different story but it is moving in by tonight and late tomorrow giving santa barbara a better opportunity for rain. 50 in antioch and 49 in san jose, second day in a row they have gotten below 50s on their temperatures. that system out there is moving it but it is not moving it east, it is moving it east and then southeast and as it drives south it will keep us in line for partly cloudy skies and a possibility of showers but the track of it is so weak, showers are near the coast mainly to the south and some of that wraparound by the sierra needs to be watched. partly cloudy skies, sun and clouds mixed but not very warm. 60s and 70s for temperatures today and i hold these with the possibility of splash and dash showers. breezy and sunny and warmer for the upcoming weekend. >>> state leaders are hop

the shoulder. 6:'09 let's go -- 6:09 let's go to steve. >>> we have scattered showers around. stretching from morgan hill, gilroy, santa cruz valley up toward the san mateo coast. from about san jose over to just south of pacifica also had pretty good rain last night toward mountain view and san jose. some shower activity. even up toward lake county. more cloud to cloud lightning. high based stuff. rain most of it some areas evaporates before it hits the ground. it was strong enough toward san jose and mountain view. coming back off the sierra, nevada that is what is rotating around. it looks like it's lifting a little bit north. there is more high clouds than anything else. for us we are focusing in on that area that is going around the coast. the low is there. there is lightning in the forecast. plenty of showers and thundershowers are possible. sun and clouds, showers and lightning. this is a midwest forecast. just wait five minutes. 40s and 50s on the temps. cool for some. not bad for others. that south, southwest wind along the coast also from about the peninsula toward

day off. happy friday to you. steve, i know you are always happy on fridays. >> we do have a very cloudy sky. drizzle and light rain out there. here is sal. >>> right now traffic at the bay bridge looks light getting into san francisco. no major problems here. also if you are driving to 880 and the freeways here it looks pretty good. 5:00 let's go back to the desk. >>> we begin with developing news in the south bay san jose police are on the scene of a homicide. it was reported at 1:45 this morning. police found a man with at least one gunshot wound. matt keller is on the scene and has learned two people have been detained. he will have a live report coming up. >>> we're also following develops news out of san jose where two people have been hurt in massive fire. not there. crews have the fire surrounded but it's still not under control. it broke out just before 4:00 this morning. there is the map. fire crews say when they arrived at the home, it was fully engulfed in flames. two people were hurt. but the extent of their injuries and how they were hurt is unknown at this time. we'

time soon, we are off to a decent start, northbound 101 is looking good. let's go to steve. >>> san jose has taken all the brunt of the rain and thunder and lightning and we'll see rain totals in a second. all of a sudden here came all the totals and right over us. we had some okay rain. mountain view 12 / 100th and other areas had good thunderstorms yesterday morning. there could still be an isolated shower may be again towards san jose by this evening and more likely san jose south. showers are moving and there is a big fog bank and we have a pronounced sea breeze. some will move from high today. occasionally this is a crowd for -- cloud range forecast but by 4:00 again right off the sierra nevada by 6:00 tonight, from livermore to the pass, and santa clara valley, i would keep an eye out to the east because it could clip us. there will be a lot of clouds left in place cools windy 50s and 60s. not much change but that will mainly be inland temperatures. >>> they cut the rating which is one level above that. despite that, the usual peanut stock markets closed down almost and they a
